Sunsets

These images were taken in various places by various cameras.
I like the colours of a sunset and how they change the sky. I love the way the clouds reflect the orange and yellows of the sun as it goes down. I think it is beautiful when captured at the right moment.
I don't think there is necessarily a 'right' place to capture the perfect sunset because wherever the image is taken a different silhouette (if one at all) is captured each time and it creates a lovely photograph in my opinion.

This was taken in Huyton. As I turned the corner of the street I saw an opportunity to capture the sunset. The clouds were separated and were reflecting the yellow tint of the fading sun. The rays reached to my camera.
  • I took this image using my Blackberry  camera phone
I caught this picture at the Pier Head in Liverpool. The Sun was still burning bright although it was setting. The image shows how the sky was clear. I think it is a lovely image and shows the sun shining in all its bright glory. It seems to have a wintry feel to it due to the faint blue sky. The pink spots on the camera seem to ruin it slightly because of the over exposure.

  • I took this image using my Nikon Coolpix S2700. I set it on outdoor settings however I did not take into account the brightness outdoors.

This photograph was shot in McGouldrick's Park in Huyton. In my opinion the over exposure gives the image colour. It emphasises the colour of a sunset. The pink spots are almost symmetrical and the sun setting almost centrally allows me to appreciate this as a successful image. The sun rays penetrating the pink spots make the sun prominent in the image without out compromising the colour. The scenery offers the picture a beautiful setting moreover the road at the bottom is quite faint and not the main focus of the image.

  • I used my Blackberry Camera phone to shoot this image. This could be the reason for the over exposure as it is limited in relation to the camera settings and adapting the camera to different environments and lighting.
